Vale Brewing is one of South Australia's largest craft breweries, and its McLaren Flat home - the Vale Restaurant and Bar - combines a working brewery with a full restaurant and taphouse. The venue sits on Ingoldby Road among the vines at McLaren Flat, about 10 minutes north of McLaren Vale.
The beers
The full Vale range is on tap, from the Vale Ale and IPA to the Lager and a rotating program of specialty brews. Tasting flights are available for people who want to try the full range.
The restaurant
The on-site kitchen runs breakfast through dinner on most days, with a broad modern Australian menu that leans pizza, burgers and long-lunch share plates. The vine-facing deck is a good spot for a weekend lunch, and the restaurant is open for breakfast from 8am on weekends.
