Yankalilla Agricultural Hall & Showgrounds

A heritage stone showground hall first built in 1887, with a 1900 supper room and 1950s cinema foyer - still the home of the annual Yankalilla Show.

A 19th-century country show hall

The Yankalilla Agricultural Hall is one of the oldest surviving country show halls in South Australia. Construction began in 1887, was extended with a supper room in 1900, and a cinema-era foyer was added in the 1950s. The whole building is still in use as the home of the annual Yankalilla Show.

Worth a stop

Even outside show season, the building is a fine piece of country architecture - stone walls, timber floors, high vaulted ceilings - and the showground around it is still a public open space.
